Splügen lies at the foot of the Splügen Pass.  This idyllic village is well known far beyond the borders of Switzerland.

The sunny ski area of Splügen-Tambo at the foot of the majestic Pizzo Tambo on the Italian border is a focal point of attraction in winter. Cross-country fans will enjoy the 40 km of snow-covered ski-runs alongside the young Hinterrhein and winter walkers can choose from over 20 km of the best prepared paths between Sufers and Hinterrhein.
