Val Müstair

This valley includes six villages: Müstair, Santa Maria, Valchava, Fuldera, Lü and Tschierv. All of these have retained their own particular character, and they make the valley one of the most attractive you can visit.

With its pristine nature, close to the Swiss National Park, and its mild southern climate, this valley provides visitors with a wide variety of natural experiences. In Val Müstair you can find a wide variety of sporting activities, and cultural attractions such as St John's monastery in the village of Müstair.  This building, which was included in UNESCO's World Heritage list in 1983, bears witness to a high point in western Christian culture around 800 A.D. The monastery church and the museum belonging to it are open year-round.

Minschuns is a family-oriented winter sports area.  It offers several ski lifts, a Panorama restaurant, the Swiss Ski School and an unbeatable guarantee of snow, because the area rises to 2700 metres. There is a regional Sportbus to bring winter visitors from all around the valley to the skilift departure station. For cross-country skiers, there are 40 km of two–lane trails. 20 km are prepared separately for scaters. Ski-tours, hiking trails, natural ice rinks and toboggan runs are all on the winter sport schedule here in Val Müstair.
