Disentis Sedrun, 1,150 - 1,440 m

The holiday region of Disentis-Sedrun lies in the canton of Graubünden, 1,130 - 1,440 metres above sea level at the source of the Rhine. In the year 700, the foundation stone of the present Benedictine monastery was laid, and the region became famous for the Lukmanier and Oberalp passes. The culture of this region is steeped in Romansh influence, and the approx. 4,000 inhabitants speak its language.

The Disentis-Sedrun winter sports region really does leave nothing to be desired and offers plenty of variety both on and off piste.

The Gotthard Oberalp Arena in Sedrun and Andermatt has some 130 km of prepared pistes (some with snow cannon) for visiting winter sports enthusiasts. Families will feel especially safe on the extra-wide pistes and there is a fantastic fun park and half pipe promising plenty of fun and excitement for snowboarders too. The main ski area in Sedrun also has a thrilling 3.5-km-long toboggan run.
