All about Wine in Graubünden

From Bonaduz in the Rhine Valley to Fläsch in the Bündner Herrschaft district, the wine-growing area of Graubünden stretches for miles along the banks of the young Rhine. Only 3 % of Swiss vineyards are in this area, but there are 42 different grape varieties under cultivation, and more than 70 wineries producing a wide range of Graubünden wines.

The mild climate, the moderating Föhn winds and the chalky soil are ideal for vineyards. The grapes – particularly the typical Blauburgunder – grow very well here. Graubünden vintners know how to make the most of nature's gifts. With natural production and small harvests, they obtain first-class grapes.
